We are in our second week of the Feed the Queue series, which also means we’ll be having our first vote.

Reminder to those who didn’t participate in the first week, every week, I will be calling for suggestions of films to be added to my Netflix queue. Each person makes one suggestion and one alternate (in case I have seen one of your suggestions). The next week, when I call for new suggestions, we begin a one-week voting period to select the film to be placed immediately into my Netflix queue to be reviewed the weekend after (because I’ll already have my Netflix queue selections for the coming weekend). Then, you’ll find out what I thought in my weekly Morning After feature on Monday morning.

Below, please provide your suggestions to add to my Netflix queue. As for the vote, I guess there won’t be one as Peter was the only available selection mentioned. So, Joshua Logan’s Fanny gets the Netflix queue berth.

    I assume you’ve not seen the Herzog version of Nosferatu so so far it’ll be a vote between that and Foreign Correspondent.

    I’ll abstain from making a recommendation this week so someone else’s recommendation gets a chance.

    Are those your suggestions, Lallo? If so, Rebecca (as part of my Best Picture Winner series a couple of years ago) is already reviewed. I have not, however, seen Foreign Correspondent.

    I just saw Hitchcock’s “Rebecca” and “foreign Correspondent” back to back. First two American productions of the English Master and the best ones so far. In my humble opinion.

    I don’t think Predator would be in the spirit of this feature, which is mostly to recommend great, classic films that I may not have seen yet.

    I was gonna suggest the original Predator, but you seem very inclined not to watch that anytime soon.

    No criteria here, just random suggestions of excellent films:

    Nosferatu, the Vampyre (1979, Werner Herzog, Klaus Kinski)
    The Train (1964, John Frankenheimer, Burt Lancaster, Paul Scofield)
