Commentary: I guess there isn’t much hope while J.J. Abrams is in control of getting a more meaningful Trek film. Benedict Cumberbatch remains the only thing about this film that intrigues me. I can’t imagine him phoning in a villain performance like Eric Bana did in the previous film. And while I can’t say this at all resembles the Trek I love, it looks like a solid action film and it’s an exciting trailer that should pull plenty of interest.
