Commentary: Once you’re familiar with the plot of the film, this image becomes quite a bit more striking. Yet, it doesn’t pair well with the trailer and if you don’t care about films that critics love, then you won’t be encouraged to see it. 		Rating: B+
Commentary: I admit that I read very little about the film after its Sundance victory, yet this trailer doesn’t fit into the narrative I’d developed in my head from what little I had read. The synopsis doesn’t even give it much juice, yet watching this trailer, I’m quite itnrigued to see what this film can do with the material. And hopefully, audiences will look at this and decide to give it a try.

Oscar Chances: The Weinstein Company has this and August: Osage County to push and with its Sundance win, Fruitvale Station could be a solid player in a number of categories.
