Although this won’t translate into an Oscar nomination, Brie Larson picks up a deserved prize for Best Actress for Short Term 12, which apart from Best Picture winner Her, was the only film to take more than one award. This also marks a victory for Matthew McConaughey who hasn’t done very well this Oscar season so far (in terms of awards) and Scarlett Johansson, who will probably NOT become the first voice-over performance nominated for an Oscar, in spite of the attention she’s getting.
