Looking at the Weekend: August 6-8, 2010

This week, we have a large number of new releases, each hoping to draw their demographic to the theater and become number one. There are also two limited release films opening this weekend. Wide: The Other Guys, Step Up 3D, Middle Men, Twelve; Limited: Flipped, Mao’s Last Dancer. Looks like we are short two contributors this week. I’ll update this as soon as I have their commentary. Will Farell is quickly becoming the second coming of Adam Sandler, a physical comedian whose unnecessary antics annoy me. So, you can imagine how unlikely I am to go see this.

Thoughts If I see this, it will be on DVD since I have not seen the first two features. I like the cut of the trailer, which helps me think it might be better than I know it will be.
