The big awards all went where expected while a few of the lesser-known awards went directions we weren’t necessarily expect, but which also weren’t surprising. 12 Years a Slave dominated the awards winning five trophies, two of which may replicate at the Oscars Sunday evening. The interesting note of these results is that the four acting winners are also the frontrunners at the Oscars, not only a first, but extremely unusual. It also means that if Oscar lines up with five of the top 6 awards, it would be an unprecedented achievement.
