Review: (#1, C+) It’s striking colors will draw attention but the central figure might generate some interest but will not encourage viewership.

Trailer Rating: C / C / C+

Review: (#1, C) A chaotic trailer featuring a Groundhog Day-like time loop that reminds more like Edge of Tomorrow than it probably should. The protagonist and the situation are barely touched on and audiences will be forgiven for not understanding the purpose of the production.

(#2, C) With so many adaptations of this material, you’ll be forgiven for feeling like you’ve already seen this movie. You probably have if you saw Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Apart from that familiarity, some of the visuals are vibrant and appealing but the storyline meanders while the character faces are distracting rather than appealing.

(#3, C+) The lugubrious prior trailers are given a little more narrative expedience in this design, giving the audience an idea of the premise without taking forever to get to the conclusion. Unfortunately, the title cards are oppressively employed and in a design that feels shorter, that wastes valuable time.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
