Review: (#1, C+) The limited colors make the effort hard to look at. The hints at water are interestingly effective in this situation and the marionette element plays thematically into the film’s premise. If this were more colorful and with more background detail, it might be a better design overall.
(#2, C+) This sea blue/red aesthetic isn’t terribly appealing. It’s better than the black-white-red motif we’re used to with horror posters but even with its tiresome visuals, the limitation of the blood in the water to the boat’s trail is an interesting effect if nothing else.

Review: (#1, C) The trailer creates a certain atmosphere and keeps its narrative close to its vest but it ultimately struggles to create something that looks interesting. Not featuring the young women in peril is a risky way to advertise a film that can’t seem to figure out who its audience action is.
(#2, C+) The first trailer struggles to capture the unique elements of the film, making it feel like a commonplace shark-related feature. This trailer gives more information about the narrative and allows the audience to see something slightly new and original in it. That might help it to stand out.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
