Review: (#1, B) Nacho Vigalondo was nominated for an Oscar for his short film 7:35 in the Morning. Since then, his unique style has found admirers, most notably with Colossal but it is a type of filmmaking that’s hard to make appeal to wide audiences. This trailer does a somewhat decent job putting that forward. Blending traditional aspect ratios with home video formatting, this film explores the confused life of a grieving man who gets a chance to experience the life he wanted with his dead girlfriend. There are some interesting moments and Henry Golding looks good but the film won’t have a lot of broad appeal because of its odd appearance.
