Review: (#1, C) With little background detail and a semi-cheesy pose, this design gets across the film’s tackiness without any of its charm. (#2, B) Better reminiscent of the decade the original released in, this well stacked design has stellar character details though little else of interest.

Review: (#1, C) This is the second 2025 release that looks to lean into 1980s cheesiness and whether or not it succeeds will depend on whether the narrative is worth the effort. Unlike The Toxic Avenger (the aforementioned other film), this looks like a tacky remake rather than a tactical one. It doesn’t look like it’s creating something unique, just that it’s leaning into something that already exists. The limitation of dialogue makes it questionable whether they recognize just how badly acted the film will be and that might be a turn off for some.
