Review: (#1, B-) An elegant, warm design that might overuse the reds and oranges but it uses a beautiful balance of images that bring the audience back into the opulence of the setting.

(#2, C+) Although the first design was simple and elegant, this follows a familiar tradition for this family period drama and puts the entire cast front and center without finding enough to do with the space above and below them.

(#3-#13, B-) Although the photo manipulation of these designs is underwhelming, the filled space with unique backdrops for each set of characters make for an appealing series of character designs. (#14-#23, B-) The backdrops for these posters are significantly less naturalistic than the prior set, largely because the lighting doesn’t match between the characters and their backdrop. They might have a more light and open air but that doesn’t make them compelling.

Review: (#1, B+) A trailer that highlights all the characters, uses the theme song with precision, and even hints at the Maggie Smith tribute makes for a compelling trailer, especially for fans of the series.

(#2, B-) This trailer is similar in style and content to the prior design but sets up mysteries that aren’t quite explained and never finds a way to make its content look more interesting than as a finale to the Downton Abbey productions.
