Review: (#1, C) For a preview design, it does a somewhat good job of conveying the whimsy of the film without looking like a tacky, worthless title-only effort.

(#2, B-) A pretty little design that as a log of wasted space but a lot of narrative implications. The colors are seldom-used in the poster design space but everything is so dully laid out. (#3, C) The connection to premise is obvious but so cheaply childish that it’s insulting.

Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) While Bryan Fuller isn’t likely to make a film like that, this trailer frames the film like it’s a weird amalgam of concepts from Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch and Francis Lawrence’s Slumberland. That’s not a particularly winning combination and feeling derivative decreases a film’s chance of success, especially if it doesn’t find a way to stand out from the pack and this trailer doesn’t give much hope of that.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
