Review: (#1, B) With the empty space, the accentuation of the purple-and-green central image is strong. There are a lot of figures in the central triangle but it also feels a bit too light on the details. (#2, C+) Sticking with the purple and green, the colors feel more washed out and unappealing in this design even though there seem to be more details. The green itself is where it becomes overbearing. (#3, B) Improving on certain design details from the first design while also losing some of the spark, this design better accentuates the characters and has better artwork, though the smaller details are underwhelming.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: (#1, B-) The 1970s was a period of great interest in blaxploitation films and this conjures up many images of those pictures. The problem is that apart from Quentin Tarantino, few directors have succeeded in making such movies that don’t feel gimmicky and this trailer veers dangerously close to that line but provides just enough creative energy to pique some curiosity.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
