Review: (#1, C) This tease highlights the return of Adam Sandler to one of his most popular characters but doesn’t give enough information about the film’s premise to do more than announce its existence.

(#2, B-) The second trailer does a much better job tying itself into its predecessor film while making the stylings of Sandler feel most appealing and intriguing. Even non-fans of Sandler’s characters might be briefly interested in its lack of Sandlerisms.

(#3, C+) If you weren’t already sold on the film from either of the first two trailers, throwing in a bunch of celebrity appearances isn’t likely to generate additional buzz. This film was going to live or die on whether it could pull in the original’s fans and that was accomplished previously. Even if this trailer’s existence weren’t unnecessary, it doesn’t provide any new information that will excite existing fans and that’s the nostalgia they are trying to tap into.
