Review: (#1, C+) Credit for tying itself into the film’s premise but debits for being unnecessarily lacking in detail. That empty black background is wasted.

(#2-#6, C+) All of these designs are part and parcel of the first poster released and at least fit thematically, though none of them stand out as particularly great, they are at least distinctive and, when taken together rather than individually, they do present an interesting premise.

Trailer Rating: B- / B+

Review: (#1, B-) There’s a certain Peelian quality about this trailer and that generates some interest in its subject matter, which appears to be a horror take on the dangers of CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). The trailer doesn’t quite evoke the elements of Jordan Peele’s films that make them so enticing but it’s a nice effort.

(#2, B+) While the first trailer was very bizarre in certain respects, this second trailer doubles-down on the odd concept and better explains the film’s premise. It’s intriguing enough to generate curiosity but strange enough to turn many people off. A solid trailer that’s not terribly like many others simply by the moments from the film selected for it.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
