Synopsis:

From IMDb: “Remo’s self-destructive behavior overshadows his talent. Abril, an upcoming jockey is pregnant by Remo and has to decide between child or continuing to race. They both race for Sirena, a businessman who saved Remo’s life in the past .”

Review: (#1, C+) The upside down aesthetic is certainly interesting but that overbearing red background is excessive. It might draw the curious but not engage them as a ticket-buyer. (#2, B-) The unnecessary heaviness of the solid red background is distracting but the intriguing use of a jockey riding a gun in lieu of a horse is an compelling dynamic.

Review: (#1, B) It is quite interesting to see multiple absurdist films going into release but while some look terribly tacky, this one looks surprisingly interesting. With a feeling like the film’s a blend between Stanley Kubrick’s and David Lynch’s aesthetics, there is a lot of promise to be had in this film.
