Review: (#1, B-) A stunning visual makes for an attractive design though audiences aren’t certain to pick up on the film’s premise very easily, nor will it cement an viewer’s attention. (#2, C+) A less compelling scene in the second poster. The colors are vibrant and there are interesting elements but this is less likely to inspire than the first effort.

Review: (#1, B) Some gorgeous animation will certainly pique interests, especially in non-American animated products but the trailer feels a bit cagey on the narrative’s aims and doesn’t generate the kind of energy one would hope for from a visual that looks this good.
(#2, B-) Beautiful animation will go a long way to selling a movie but this doesn’t look like the kind of movie that can or will appeal to young children. That’s why it focuses on a very erudite exploration of heady adult topics through the eyes of a child who doesn’t understand them.
Oscar Prospects:
A candidate for Best Animated Feature to be sure.
