Review: (#1-#4, C) These four designs, while different, use the same titling across all of them, linking them together. While each of them establish character and setting, only the third and fourth do anything in selling the story, though not well.

(#5-#6, C) These shot-reverse-shot posters may be the most interesting designs so far but they are still incredibly dull and lifeless.

Trailer Rating: C+ / C+ / C+ / B- / C / C+

Review: (#1-#3, C+; #4, B-) The first two trailers are teasers, very short but interestingly constructed. The third trailer takes the styles of the first two and adds a modest amount of plot details, which makes it more interesting but also too familiar. The final trailer does all of this while making the film look a bit more interesting than it previously did. All together, it’s a strong set of trailers but individually, they don’t work terribly well.

(#5, C) The studio continues to flail with its trailer designs, few of them making this conventional horror film look more than passably interesting. Without telling the audience the kind of film they should expect, it doesn’t build excitement in the audience.

(#6, C+) A solid effort with an interesting build up and a bit more details about the film itself than the earlier teases. It’s still not compelling enough to be enticing.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
