Review: (#1, C) This will likely appeal to fans of the original film but few others. The colors are fitting to the character but stylistically lackluster.
(#2, B-) Simplicity isn’t always the enemy and it’s easy to appreciate some of that here but just featuring the robot characters of the film in various shades and camera depth doesn’t add enough to make this a genuinely standout effort.
(#3-#5, C) A trio of designs that continue the same purple-pink aesthetic but add nothing of measurable importance. (#6, C+) What this design is intending is uncertain. It might pick up the importance of these characters to each other but it doesn’t seem to touch well on the film’s premise or ideas.

Review: (#1, C) Just enough tease to entice fans of the original but not enough substance to build an audience on excitement rather than fan service.
(#2, B-) While explaining how the film moves forward from the past and continues where it left off, that doesn’t make a narrative with any intrigue. There are some interesting moments and action beats but the overall thrust feels derivative.
(#3, C+) There’s a saturation point for trailers where additional efforts don’t actually increase the chance of success. M3GAN 2.0 has reached that threshold. There’s nothing terribly new in this trailer and the impetus for audience attention was already reached with a prior, better effort.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
