Review: (#1) This design has zero real bearing on the film other than featuring the lead character. There’s nothing compelling or visually stimulating here, which makes it a terrible design.

(#2) Our protagonist standing in front of one of the massive mobile cities is an interesting visual, though it’s not very well composed. (#3) A haphazardly blended group of images strains itself to be interesting with the mobile city looking hopelessly landlocked. (#4-#6) This trio of character posters are decently composed, but uneventful. (#7) Viva la resistance. Though, after looking at this poster, some might not be concerned with a victory. (#8) The artwork is interesting, though the excessive amount of blank space isn’t.

Trailer Rating: B+ / B-

Review: (#1) As far as teasers go, this effects-laden trailer should do the trick. There is enough hint of a premise to intrigue leery sci-fi fans while anyone interested in big screen spectacle will probably be excited.

(#2) While the original sight of the behemoth cities crawling at great speed across the landscape was a compelling image in the first trailer, we’re now getting more details about the plot and it seems surprisingly conventional even if the setting is fascinating and original.

Oscar Prospects:

The Visual Effects are sure to be a contender and the Sound Mixing and Sound Editing as well.
