Synopsis:

Review: (#1-#3, C+) A trio of elemental-inspired designs with lots of details and visually stimulating palettes but without a sense of narrative excitement. (#4, C) When you have a character that looks as if it’s done in one style and aquatic monsters who look to be in a different one, the juxtaposition doesn’t create an enticing situation. (#5, C) Having lots of characters is nice and positioning them largely on elements of the characters on display is an effective strategy but the overbearing red color and the methodical placement of the characters make the design underwhelming. (#6, C+) It looks a little like the first poster highlighted above but features the main character. If fire appeals to you, this might be interesting but it is ultimately too wordy and under-inspired to be compelling. (#7-#13, B) Unlike the prior mixed-media effort, this set of character poster does a far better job blending them, with the 3D design of the foreground blending effortlessly into the watercolor. They are visually compelling designs even if they surprisingly feel a bit empty.

Review: (#1, C+) It makes it sound like this film has been on the big screen before or is from the small screen. Neither of which sounds familiar but for an 3D anime-inspired film, the graphics don’t look too bad but the plot seems trivial.
