Review: (#1, B-) A design like this could have been improved by making it all a lot bigger, minimizing the overwhelming off-white background. The internal details aren’t as interesting as they could be but which would also have been improved by more space to work with.

Trailer Rating: C+ / B-

Review: (#1, C+) If this didn’t look like Nobody-meets-Fargo, it might be a bit more appealing. Setting up the peacefulness and normalcy of the town is a good step forward but it needs to be supported by something a little more interesting and quite a bit funnier.

(#2, B-) While the first trailer created a sense of presence and background whimsey, this trailer leans more heavily into the oddness of the film and digs more into the conflict bubbling under this supposedly quiet, idyllic town. It doesn’t highlight enough of its star’s comedic chops and looks a bit like a derivative effort coming off prior films in Bob Odenkirk’s oeuvre.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
