Review: (#1, C) The lazy poster designer will find a scene from the film that fits a vertical space and add text to it and the end result is usually something underwhelming and uninteresting. In the context of the film, it might be more fascinating but as a poster design it lacks the thematic resonance. The weak font selection only adds to the disillusionment. (#2, C) This scene is much easier to read visually and stands out with its use of colors but it’s still a static choice with minimal context. The title font is interesting but would be better used on words the viewer is already familiar with and won’t struggle to make out the spelling from.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: (#1, B-) A fascinating concoction, the use of home video-style cinematography sets it apart and the aural accompaniment gives it some depth but there’s not a lot to suggest the biopic has dramatic tension or stakes that might be compelling for the average viewer.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
