Review: (#1, C) A candid shot that plays into the trailer’s premise but without a rooting interest. Certainly, their goal is to draw in Zendaya and Robert Pattinson fans but even they might not be interested in something this generic.

(#2-#4, C) A series of shots that start with a wedding and end with recriminations and blood. It’s adequate but underwhelming.

Trailer Rating: C+ / B-

Review: (#1, C+) Relationship dramas are familiar and little in this trailer suggests a film that breaks boundaries but the concept of a wedding photographer trying to get the couple to outwardly show their love and purpose of getting married does get across the rocky connection between the two figures and generates just a small bit of intrigue even if the preview wears out its welcome faster than it should.

(#2, B-) We get the set up but not the details and that will generate a bit of intrigue among fans of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson but aren’t likely to create enthusiasm outside of those demographics. While it doesn’t feel entirely artificial, it wants to amp up the concept of its titular drama without genuinely creating it. Of course, giving away what awful thing Zendaya’s character has done might depress turnout, it seems like an unnecessary tease.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
