Review: (#1, C) With Bill Murray being the selling point of the film, the design might be a bit misleading. It also does nothing to highlight the pooch at the center of the film, a choice that will limit audience engagement.

(#2, C+) While the leash motif is a clever one, the minimal lack of details don’t embellish the design but at least some of the folds of the leash have something interesting to look at. (#3-#5, C) Taking the leash idea and moving it into a core aesthetic for character posters only highlights the dearth of details and makes it all seem even less interesting, though at least with the dog, they shifted the position of the leash around to make it fit rather than letting it go.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: (#1, C) A film like this takes time to explain its plot and a trailer this long is not the best or easiest method of doing that. That’s especially true when the effort result in something that feels familiar and lacking in original direction.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
