Review: (#1, B-) It’s almost a shame for an obviously bad movie to have a surprisingly adroit poster design. There are lots of interesting elements here, many of them characters we need to know about and there’s the garden shears. The circle design doesn’t quite make sense and the facial expressions are too cheesy to be evocative. (#2, C) This is the type of poorly-conceived work one would expect for a film like this. While it’s nice to see the balance of color between the title and the rest of the design, the poor blending work between the details make for a cheap impression.

Trailer Rating: D+

Review: (#1, D+) There are certain actors who’ve struggle to retain relevance in the waning years of their lives. One of those is Jean-Claude Van Damme. This cheap-looking action comedy tries to put pep back in Van Damme’s martial arts step but confusing editing, lame comedy, and tepid stunts are bundled into an unappealing and eye-rolling narrative that will struggle to find an audience.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
