Review: (#1, A-) This design works on two levels. First, it digs into the idea of these characters as someone else’s plaything but does so through the second method, and that’s using a prop from the film itself to convey said details. (#2-#5, C) While the main design has creative energy, especially with character positioning within the house itself, these four character posters do little than to entice fans of these particular actors to check out the film without doing any amount of creative design engineering.
(#6-#9, C+) A simplistic design for these character posters works surprisingly well considering how cheap the concept execution is.
(#10-#11, C) These inverted designs don’t seem to have any purpose than to draw the viewer’s attentions to the similarity in look of Sweeney and Seyfried. (#12, C) Unique colors but bland structure characterize this French design. Nothing to genuinely excite.
Trailer Rating: B+ / B / B

Review: (#1, B+) An aural landscape that creates suspense and tension paired with moments from the film that suggest a simple story but complex manipulations from multiple characters, it looks to be a solid thriller with an interesting narrative.
(#2, B) A slight deviation from the prior trailer, choosing a good music accompaniment while going over some of the same ground doesn’t create a new enough experience to warrant a new trailer. It still looks interesting but lacks something the first trailer was able to get across: intrigue.
(#3, B) Still not as good as the first trailer, this shorter and more packed trailer has some of the musical cues that make the film look interesting while downplaying some of the more hysterical elements of the film.
Oscar Prospects:
Although Paul Feig has had some minor success with the Academy; however, that was a long time ago and with a thriller like this, it’s unlikely.
