Review: (#1-#2, C+) These two designs are similar enough to be discussed together. There’s a beautiful setting involved and a touching familial bond between actors but it’s not the kind of design that excites viewers. (#2, C)

Review: (#1, C) A tepid adaptation that wants to hinge itself on Glenn Close’s singular performance but without finding a basis on which to stake its claim. The concept of grief is present but conveyed as generically and underwhelmingly as possible.

Oscar Prospects:

Anything could be an Oscar vehicle for Glenn Close, though this looks perhaps a bit too odd to become an Oscar vehicle.
