Review: (#1, C+) The toadstool elements certainly speak to a core portion of the premise but what stands out best is the quartet of character insets torn in an artfully intriguing way. Yet, without much of an interesting background, it won’t have much appeal. (#2, C) Even more mushrooms on this design along with two grommets at the top that don’t make a lot of sense. Certainly not a great advertising tool. (#3, C) Taking the artfulness of the tearing of the first design with the empty blackness of the second poster doesn’t blend the best of both worlds.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: (#1, B) François Ozon’s films have a certain beauty in their slow burn natures. His films are always beautiful to watch and this suggests nothing less than what he’s produced before and there’s just enough of a hint of mystery to entice cineastes, though perhaps not enough to broadly appeal.

Oscar Prospects:

François Ozon is one of the famed filmmakers who hasn’t had much Oscar success. This thriller might be a good option for him.
