Release Date:

Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A middle-aged couple’s career and marriage are overturned when a disarming young couple enters their lives.”

Poster: D

Review: An overly simplistic design that thankfully carries forward the yellow highlighting element in the trailer. That’s the only interesting part of it.

Trailer: B / B-

Review: (#1) The first trailer makes this look like a fun, witty exploration of aging gracefully versus aging with entertainment. It sets the film apart, yet ties it directly to its genre. (#2) After establishing the funnier elements with the first trailer, the second tries to set this up as a serious film with humorous elements, a whiff of a competent plot, but with less of the vim and vigor of its predecessor.

Oscar Prospects:

Noah Baumbach had a tremendous start, but his films just haven’t been Oscar bait. This adult comedy could change that, but it will need the kind of critical support that Richard Linklater received this last year.
