Review: (#1, C) Whether the attempt to conjure up the visual style of E.T. is intended, it does have that effect. Unfortunately, there isn’t much to the design to make it stand out more than a little. The silhouettes are at least unique and that might give some a sense of curiosity.

Review: (#1, B-) The resemblance to E.T. in the poster is more evident in the trailer itself. The posturing of the ostensible villain of the piece is a bit more aggressive than in the Spielberg film, so at least it stands out a bit more but what is more noticeable is just how bad the acting is, most notably in the scenes with the boy meeting the monster for the first time.
