Last Week’s Results
It was the second biggest opening in box office history, yet it was a decent pace behind The Avengers. That isn’t unexpected. The rest of the Top Ten was largely the same with Mud and The Place Beyond the Pines both continuing to perform well in expanded release while some big names take big tumbles including sizable drops for Pain & Gain and Oblivion and a surprisingly light drop for The Big Wedding. 42 continues to edge towards $100 million while Oblivion seems to be struggling to get there.
