It might be a tight race with two distinct demographics going head to head. Black audiences are sure to turn out for One of Them Days while horror fans are definitely going to give Wolf Man their money. Which will come out on top? It’s not certain but I think there are more horror fans out there.

OTHER RELEASES

We are only looking at films that have had trailers released on Rotten Tomatoes’ trailer YouTube Channels. Below are some other films that are releasing this weekend that we haven’t considered.

Both Eyes Open
DIG! XX
El Heredero
Hold Me Close
Left Behind
A Legend
Praavinkoodu Shappu
Reckonings
The Wasps
Wish You Were Here

WIDE RELEASES

ONE OF THEM DAYS

WOLF MAN

One of Them Days

Wesley Lovell: I love a good comedy and this like it has some potential.

Peter J. Patrick: Frantic looking comedy doesn’t impress me.

Thomas La Tourrette: This comedy does not look that funny to me.

Wolf Man

Wesley Lovell: With the abortive The Mummy, it’s hard to know if this latest attemp to revive the Universal Monsters cinematic universe will be any good.

Peter J. Patrick: This reboot of the 1941 classic looks dreadful.

Thomas La Tourrette: It’s an effective trailer, but just does not look like my kind of movie.

LIMITED RELEASES

ALARUM

AUTUMN AND THE BLACK JAGUAR

GRAND THEFT HAMLET

I’M STILL HERE

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Some potential with Grand Theft Hamlet and Golden Globe winner I’m Still Here.

Peter J. Patrick: Only the Brazilian Oscar contender, I’m Still Here, looks worthy of our time.

Thomas La Tourrette: The probable Oscar nominated I’m Still Here looks to be the best of the bunch. The trailer does not do a great job of selling it, but the reviews and star Fernanda Torres’ acceptance speech at the Golden Globes. Grand Theft Hamlet could prove interesting, but will probably wait for it on streaming.
