When it comes to box office success, no one has a better chance of doing it than Liam Neeson. None of his recent films have really appealed to me, but there’s no denying that he is one of the most dependable box office stars out there.
Consensus
Below is a list of what we have come to a general consensus on. The number in parens represents the percentage of our contributors who agree with the statement.
The Grey: Liam Neeson draws people to the box office, but doesn’t draw the Academy voters.
Man on a Ledge: It may not be an original premise, but it may be gimmicky enough to be successful.
One for the Money: Katharine Heigl isn’t the most bankable movie star (either financially or in terms of quality).
Declaration of War: The film that could have been a Foreign Language Film threat is now simply an also-ran.

ThoughtsI haven’t seen a trailer for a Liam Neeson film that I’ve found interesting in years. And were he still slated to play Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s biopic, I might watch him soon, but this one I have no desire to see. |
ThoughtsI’m not expecting much from the director of The A-Team and it doesn’t look like I’d be getting it with this. |
ThoughtsLiam Neeson needs to return to Oscar’s good graces sometime, but this won’t be the cause. |

ThoughtsMy friends are interested in seeing this, but it looks like a fairly rote procedural. Still, the concept is original enough and having both Sam Worthington and Jamie Bell in it makes it feel a little more interesting…or at least endurable. |
ThoughtsBasic plot points seem to resemble the 1951 classic, Fourteen Hours. |
ThoughtsThe worst title of the year won’t be an Oscar nominee! |

ThoughtsAs much as I have disliked Heigl in the past, the trailer is amusing. I’m not expecting it to be any good, though. |
ThoughtsLong shleved film the studio refuses to allow critics to see, hmmm, could it possibly be a bomb? |
ThoughtsThis has crappy January release written all over it!!! |

ThoughtsThe story seems a bit dramatic and probably a bit sad, but there are few foreign films I’ve seen trailers for this year that I would be interested in seeing. This is one of them. |
ThoughtsFrance’s rejected submission for this year’s Oscar about a couple with a child with a brain tumor might be worth seeing. |
ThoughtsThis falls about as low under the radar as it can get…I’ve never heard of it! |
