Captain America: Brave New World has managed to hold onto the top spot at the box office for three weeks. In its fourth, it’s very likely to go down to Mickey 17.

WIDE RELEASES

IN THE LOST LANDS

MICKEY 17

QUEEN OF THE RING

In the Lost Lands

Wesley Lovell: It looks about as painful as any Zack Snyder film can and it’s worse that it’s not Snyder.

Peter J. Patrick: I have absolutely no interest in this tripe.

Thomas La Tourrette: It looks like a trashy fantasy film.

Mickey 17

Wesley Lovell: Bong Joon-ho’s latest sci-fi comedy looks to be immense amounts of fun.

Peter J. Patrick: Bong Joon-ho is back with what looks to be another event film.

Thomas La Tourrette: This looks like a fun romp, with perhaps some deeper meaning thrown in too.

Queen of the Ring

Wesley Lovell: While the history may be important, the content doesn’t look particularly thrilling.

Peter J. Patrick: Sorry, but I couldn’t care less about wrestling – women’s or men’s.

Thomas La Tourrette: It might prove interesting, but it seems pretty rote.

LIMITED RELEASES

BLOAT

EEPHUS

ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL

THE RULE OF JENNY PEN

SEVEN VEILS

THERE’S STILL TOMORROW

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: Some decent potential options this week but nothing I particularly want to rush out and see.

Peter J. Patrick: Maybe Seven Veils because it was directed by Atom Egoyan and There’s Still Tomorrow which won a slew of awards in Italy, but nothing else this week appeals to me.

Thomas La Tourrette: On becoming a Guinea Fowl looks to be the most interesting. The reviews of Eephus and There’s Still Tomorrow give me hope that they will be good, but the trailers are not that exciting.
