After a dud of weekend for new wide releases, four different types of films will compete for the top spot. Of them all, Predator: Badlands seems the most likely to triumph.

OTHER RELEASES

We are only looking at films that have had trailers released on Rotten Tomatoes’ trailer YouTube Channels. Below are some other films that are releasing this weekend that we haven’t considered.

Grand Prix of Europe (Wide)
Sarah’s Oil (Wide)
Finding Hozho (Limited)
Long Shadows (Limited)
Lost & Found in Cleveland (Limited)
Unexpected Christmas (Limited)

WIDE RELEASES
CHRISTY DIE MY LOVE NUREMBERG PREDATOR: BADLANDS

Christy

Wesley Lovell: A boxing biopic that looks tedious.

Pete Patrick: Not something I’d ordinarily run out to see, but reviews have been good so maybe I’ll give it a look.

Thomas La Tourrette: Unless Sydney Sweeney pulls off a longshot nomination, I see no reason to see this boxing film.

Die My Love

Wesley Lovell: A strange character drama that might have some merit thanks to a complelling cast.

Pete Patrick: Something I’m more likely to catch up with in streaming than in the theatre but early word has been promising.

Thomas La Tourrette: A very weird trailer does not make one want to see the film, though I have heard that Jennifer Lawrence’s performance is remarkable.

Nuremberg

Wesley Lovell: Although the film has some modern salience, it looks like garbage.

Pete Patrick: Intriguing look at how the Nuremberg trials came to be against all odds, this one is a must-see.

Thomas La Tourrette: This should be a slam dunk of a movie but the trailer seems fairly tepid.

Predator: Badlands

Wesley Lovell: This series has never held any interest for me.

Pete Patrick: Not my cup of tea.

Thomas La Tourrette: It just does not interest me.

LIMITED RELEASES
ALL THAT WE LOVE I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST MODI: THREE DAYS ON THE WING OF MADNESS PETER HUJAR’S DAY SENTIMENTAL VALUE

STONE COLD FOX TRAIN DREAMS

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: A couple of films that might be worth my time.

Pete Patrick: Awards contenders Sentimental Value and Train Dreams are must-sees and All That We Love looks something worth seeking out.

Thomas La Tourrette: I want to see Sentimental Value as it has such good word of mouth, but I wish the trailer was better. I Wish You All the Best feels like an important film, especially right now. Some of the others have strong reviews but none really excites with their trailers.
