A couple of films could top the box office but won’t likely post huge numbers. One Battle After Another will battle The Strangers: Chapter 2 for dominance with the former the more likely to win.
OTHER RELEASES

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie
Wesley Lovell: I’m not interested.
Pete Patrick: Looks like a bunch of pointless nonsense.
Thomas La Tourrette: I do not know the series and this looks mainly designed for children who know it.
One Battle After Another
Wesley Lovell: Paul Thomas Anderson is a terrific filmmaker so this could be good but it doesn’t look like it.
Pete Patrick: The year’s best reviewed film so far looks to be Paul Thomas Anderson’s best since There Will Be Blood.
Thomas La Tourrette: I have not been that fond of Paul Thomas Anderson’s work, but this is getting rave reviews so I will see it.
The Strangers: Chapter 2
Wesley Lovell: I’ve always been modestly interested in these films but haven’t sat down to watch them yet.
Pete Patrick: This week’s pointless horror movie.
Thomas La Tourrette: I did not see the original film and have no desire to see this horror film sequel.

The Limited Slate
Wesley Lovell: A couple of these titles might be ok but nothing exceptional.
Pete Patrick: Eleanor the Great looks like the best of this lot.
Thomas La Tourrette: Eleanor the Great is probably worth seeing for June Squibb’s lead performance. All of You looks to be a sweet melodrama of lost or perhaps never started love. The other two releases look very iffy.
