With a few lackluster weekends at the box office, it’s due for a success and The Conjuring: Last Rites will be the victor.

The Conjuring: Last Rites

Wesley Lovell: I have had no interest in this franchise.

Pete Patrick: Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson deserve better material.

Thomas La Tourrette: I have not seen any of the previous films, so will pass on this horror film too.

The Legend of Hei 2

Wesley Lovell: Never knew about the original and this doesn’t entice me to check it out.

Pete Patrick: The original was well received, but I never saw it.

Thomas La Tourrette: Having not seen the first Legend of Hei anime film, I will pass on this typical looking anime film as well.

Twinless

Wesley Lovell: It looks like an interesting concept but the trailer isn’t as funny as it should be.

Pete Patrick: Received excellent reviews out of Sundance.

Thomas La Tourrette: The premise seems interesting and the early reviews are great, but a tepid trailer does little to excite.

The Limited Slate

Wesley Lovell: A couple of possibilities might be worth the effort but who knows.

Pete Patrick: Four maybes make it a better week than most lately.

Thomas La Tourrette: The Baltimorons suffers from a bad title but looks to be the best of the bunch. Preparation for the Next Life and The Threesome each hold some promise but not enough to make me seek them out.
