   Umm, I just noticed this, but I believe that Inside Job is directed by documentarian Charles Ferguson, not late-night host Craig Ferguson!

   Thank God. The Social Network pales in comparison to The King’s Speech. Even on the directorial front, TKS was better. I do hope it wins everything over that Facebook movie.

   Hooray!

   I finally saw The King’s Speech AND The Fighter and both of them were better directed than The Social Network!

   However despite the Academy doing the right thing and awarding the Best Picture award to The King’s Speech, the Director award may still go to Fincher for the overrated Social Network!

   This is the one guild that I’ve respected more often than objected. They did the right thing w/r/t Brokeback Mountain. The King’s Speech is not a well directed film. Acting is not the only thing a director must do…Aronofsky, Russell and Nolan were each infinitely better than Hooper. Let’s hope the Academy actually has better taste for Best Director at least.

      I agree 100% Wesley.

      I believe Fincher deserves the award, for many many reasons.

      I’m getting worried about this year’s oscars. They screw up some crucial nominations, let’s hope they don’t screw it up anymore this year.

   For those of you watching from home, this means that The Social Network has gasped its last breath and will now rest in peace with all those other critical favorites that collapsed at the end of a long hard struggle and lost out to fluffier flicks.
