Every week, we’ll pose a new “five favorites” question. You just list your five favorites that fit in that category (preferably in preference order) and you’re welcome to discuss and debate the selections and see just how much you do or do not have in common with others. If you want to take a look back at our past articles to comment or enjoy, here is a post set aside to track all of our articles.
Not Pixar. Not live-action/animation hybrids. I’m looking for your five favorite Disney animated villains.

as I am sure it won´t be one of the next top 5, I want to add my favourite animated non-Disney villains….. worth to mention I think
1. Sharptooth /The Land before Time
2. General Woundwort and his Efrafra Clan / Watership Down
3.Napoleon /Animal Farm
4. Rasputin / Anastasia
5. Jenner / The Secret of Nimh
1. Cruella de Vil – 101 Dalmations
2. Witch – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
3. Captain Hook – Peter Pan
4. Kaa – The Jungle Book
5. Ursula – The Little Mermaid
1. Witch – Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
2. Cruella de Vil – 101 Dalmatians
3. Gaston – Beauty and the Beast
4. Kaa – The Jungle Book
5. Queen of Hearts – Alice in Wonderland
1. Jude Claude Frollo – The Hunchback of Notre Dame (the first villain with credible, realistic motives)
2. Ursula – The Little Mermaid
3. Maleficent – Sleeping Beauty
4. Scar – The Lion King
5. Cruella DeVille – 101 Dalmations
Special mentions: Mother Gothel from Tangled, a strong start to the new era of villains; and the demon from A Night on Bald Mountain, part of Fantasia.
I hate to nitpick here, Wesley, but I think most of the Disney villains have pretty credible motives…their movies may not be as rooted in realism as Hunchback was (at least as much as a movie with singing gargoyles can be realistic), but I could name the motives of most every character listed here, and they are almost all credible and realistic.
1. Yzma / The Emperors New Groove ( what a bitch!!! with Eartha Kitt´s fantastic voice.)
2. Hades/ Hercules (probably the coolest Disney villain….a real bad guy)
3. Cruella De Vil /101 Dalmatians (one woman…one nightmare)
4. Maleficent /Sleeping Beauty (epic)
5. Dschafar/ Aladdin (unfortgettable as a Duo with Jago)
I have to put my personal special villains on that list :
The Hunters in Bambi ( I know it does not fit….but the killing of Bambi´s mother caused a real trauma. And as a child I hated all hunters)
