If you live under a rock, or in a Hobbit hole, you may not have heard that there’s a new pair of films set in Middle Earth coming to theaters in 2012 & 2013. The troubled production finally got started under four-time Oscar winner Peter Jackson as director and we’ve been getting snippets of production diaries and stills from the film in small doses for the past couple of months.

Recently, Jackson & Co. started releasing stills of the various sets of Dwarves from the film. Now, they’ve released the full wide image of all thirteen together. And, if you didn’t see the images before, you get the gist of them here.

What does all this mean? Well, looking at the image, you can write The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey for several nominations, but two awards may already be locked in. Costume Design seems a sure bet, but I’d still write that winner in with a pencil. Makeup, however, write in with a big, ball-point quill because I can’t see any situation where this film doesn’t take home that trophy. Just look at the image here (you can click it to enlarge it) and I think you’ll agree.
