Review: (#1, B-) A simplistic design that speaks not just to the character Helen Mirren plays but also her impressive collection of deadly weapons. It just doesn’t say enough about the film’s concept or its co-star.

Review: (#1, B+) The sense of foreboding mystery this trailer creates keeps the suspense built enough to make it look appealing. The early moments suggest that Helen Mirren might be a serial killer but as the trailer progresses, it’s Alden Ehrenreich who might be the murderer. Of course, that mystery might be the more compelling one the trailer suggests and the real story is the novel-like fiction the Mirren’s character weaves.

Oscar Prospects:

Oscar-winner Helen Mirren and newly-minted Tony Award winner Alden Ehrenreich could prove candidates for the Oscars but this seems more like a film that will be popular with a certain subset that won’t make it to the Oscars in the end.
