Review: (#1, C+) For those curious, the silhouette is reminiscent of that of its director and that might tie it in better than just having his name at the top. The design’s somewhat low effort and doesn’t have any radical ideas on display but it has some bold colors, which might be enough to draw one’s eye. (#2, C+) If you’ve seen the trailer, the figure at the center of the poster is clearly not the director but is reminiscent of his look. Th cut-out of eyes is an odd choice and doesn’t convey much in terms of philosophical content.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: (#1, C) Apart from two lines of dialogue near the end, the effort is clear that the audience must rely on its interpretation of visual language to understand what is meant to be said by the film. Unfortunately, none of it makes much sense and its an approach to visual storytelling that won’t find a lot of adherents.

Oscar Prospects:

Pedro Almodóvar always has to be considered a contender even if he hasn’t gotten much attention in recent years.
