Review: (#1) Reminiscent of an old style of poster design, it does a fine job tying the western motif into the past suggesting to the audience that they’re going to get something traditional and not erratic. (#2) This dual-pane design has never been that inventive, but having Kurt Russell front and center gives it a little bit of weight. (#3-#8) These character posters have differing backgrounds, but they’re almost so indistinct as to be forgettable. The characters all seem to have similar stances or postures making everything seem too static when it needs to be dynamic.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: If the studio wants this to seem traditional, it certainly looks it, though with a touch of modern sensibility. That doesn’t make the film look compelling. Matter of fact, it looks a bit too staid to be appealing with unlikable characters to boot.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
