Review: (#1) A simple, yet effective poster that sets the scene even if it doesn’t set the tone. (#2) A nice connection of four people with too much empty space. (#3) While it showcases the road trip element of the film and some of the tension, it doesn’t do enough to excite. (#4) A better presentation of the loose-knit family unit, but there’s still nothing to exemplify the film’s prmeise.

Review: If you don’t know who the director is, this film might look rather dull. Even knowing who Kore-eda is won’t necessarily add freshness to the story. It all seems rather familiar even among Korean films and that’s what’s alarmingly dispiriting about it.
