Review: (#1, B-) It ties into the film’s premise fairly well but remains a simplistic take on a poster design with less chilling effort.
Trailer Rating: B+ / C+ / C

Review: (#1, B+) The slow pullback of the camera with the soundtrack to the show-within-a-show playing over it creates a surprisingly chilling effect and with the premise laid out simply but with so few details, it definitely looks like something, either the filmmakers, or at least the trailer makers, have gone to great lengths to sink their teeth into something genuinely frightening.
(#2, C+) The first trailer had a simple gimmick and it worked tremendously well. The gimmick is gone and the premise is better laid out by voiceover but that doesn’t make the Reddit ghost story premise stand out sufficiently.
(#3, C) How quickly a lost episode horror concept can turn into something dreadfully boring. The first trailer had a tinge of excitement, reflective horror, and suggestion of suspense that made this seem like the next great forum-horror effort to make a splash on the big screen. Now, it looks like another wasted concept.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
