Review: (#1, C) The use of the rearview mirror to reflect something going on in the film is an old but seldom-used trope and that’s largely because it’s poorly used like here with it reflecting something that isn’t even in the vehicle. Chekov’s gun sits on the dashboard of an old car but that adds little to the poster’s thematic relevance.

Trailer Rating: C- / B

Review: (#1, C-) A truncated trailer that tells the viewer almost nothing about the film and refuses to give them anything to latch onto that might be compelling. There will have to be a new trailer that gives more details than this or the film will never find an audience.

(#2, B) After the disastrous and confusing first trailer, we get a much more in depth preview that has Bonnie and Clyde inspiration with modern stakes and that makes it much more appealing than it previously looked.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
