Review: (#1, C+) The attempt is to make this nerve-wracking and it works well in that regard even if the underwhelming backdrop doesn’t generate excitement as it should.

(#2, C) The title is purposefully oblique, which doesn’t quite comport with the information presented in the trailer but it creates the sense of doom and acrophobic anxiety, which will appeal to fans of the original film but few others.

Review: (#1, B) It’s easy to complain about single-scene film trailers but credit to the studio for making something that actually creates pulse-pounding energy. If you’re acrophobic, this is not a trailer for you. It might even generate too much anxiety. For everyone else, this has a thrilling vibe that might generate a decent amount of business.

(#2, B-) The premise is laid bare in this latest trailer and it still seems unreasonably thin. They focus on some events that don’t flow naturally into feature length but it worked out in the first film (at least to fans) that a sequel became assured so fans will surely check this one out too even if no one else does.
