Review: (#1, C+) As much as this design hints at the weirdness of the film, it’s not going to be something that sparks intense curiosity in the viewer.

Review: (#1, B+) At one point half way through the trailer, one of the critic statements references how painterly the film looks and it’s at that point that the audience may finally notices the gorgeous shots that populate the trailer. For cineastes, that’s a bit of catnip for their senses even if the premise looks a little less than fascinating.

Oscar Prospects:

If the Academy actually cared about smaller films and their photography, this one would probably be in the conversation.
