Review: (#1, C+) Nothing terribly consequential with this design, it’s blocky but interestingly arranged. It won’t excite but it isn’t entirely boring. (#2, C) A generic action poster design with actors who look like they don’t care in haphazardly colored sectors with a tacky lit fuse in the title that doesn’t bother blackening the segment of the fuse behind the spark. (#3, C) Less chaotic in terms of color, this effort lacks urgency and excitement. (#4, B-) There is an attempt here to create something visually interesting but without the color and depth of detail one would expect from a successful execution of this style. (#5, B) With the darker elements, the design pops a little better even if there aren’t sufficient details to delay the viewer from passing by after only a brief moment.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: (#1, B-) Cheaply smashing together two trite action concepts comes off as an abortive actioner with second-tier actors hoping to excite audiences who are likely tired of the mediocrity. The concept might have worked well in a 24-style TV production, for the big screen, it looks like it’s brimming with filler content on a thinly-drawn plot.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
